Items of Importance

Writer: Chelsea BiehlChelsea Biehl

Good Evening CAMRPSP,

On behalf of the CAMRPSP Steering Committee, we are requesting your help regarding a couple important matters.

1. A Revised Study Plan (RSP) has been created by Western Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (WMMPA) after all the wonderful requests for studies were submitted/filed last fall by citizens like you. This RSP is now available on FERC's website at https://elibrary.ferc.gov/eLibrary/search and key in the project number: P-14876 as the docket number. If you see that an item of study has not been requested, that deems important to this project, this is our last chance to make that request. These additional requests for studies have to be submitted to FERC by April 24.

2. Thursday, April 27. MidAmerican Energy Company and Missouri River Energy Services will be hosting 2 community meetings at the Platte Community Building at 1-3pm and 5-7pm on this day. Please attend one or both of these meetings and let these companies know we do not want their project and will not be fooled by their false inflated financial benefits to the community. I can't express enough how important this day is. Let's pack the community building for both sessions and have our concerns be heard!

3. I have included an attachment of an updated pamphlet created by our committee member, Valerie Strand. We own the digital rights to this pamphlet, so feel free to share this electronically with anyone and everyone you know. You can also print copies of the pamphlet if you so choose or you can order copies from Custom Printing in Platte, 337-2390.

Thank you for your time and efforts in working to get this project stopped.

Regards,

Melissa Johnson

Steering Committee Member

About CAMRPSP

Citizens Against Missouri River Pumped Storage Project is a 501c3 organization that was created as a grassroots organization to fight what we view to be a federal and political overreach of the proposed Gregory County Pumped Storage Project. We chose a name for our organization to reflect the fact that it just isn’t Gregory County being threatened with this project. We want to portray a unified effort from both sides of the river. Not only both east and west sides of the river will be affected but several miles north and south from the proposed site will be as well.
