The Steering Committee would like to bring to your attention a couple key events coming up. First: On January 9, 10th & 11th, there will be technical meetings held via video/conference call to review the 26 proposed studies that the project developer will be doing. In order to attend one or all 3 days of these meetings, you need to send your name and email address to: GregoryCountyinfo@mrenergy.com no later than December 31st. I have attached the agenda for the 3 days of meetings. If you see a project that you have a particular interest in, please try and join the call during that allotted time. You can be on the call or calls as much or as little as you like. Public participation and/or interest during these calls speaks volumes to FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission), it sends a strong message that the community is concerned and involved. Second: On January 25th, MRES (Missouri River Energy Services), the project developer is hosting 2 community engagement meetings at the Burke Civic Center. The meeting times are 1-3pm and 5-7pm. Please plan to attend one or both of these meetings and invite as many people as you can. Thank you again for everyone's efforts and support in stopping this project. The developers have made several big changes to the original project and we are certain there will be many more to come along the way. Changes aside, the scope of this project is still huge and very detrimental to our river, our landowners and our communities.
